Defending Champions Lead the 29th Alabama State Senior and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships

POINT CLEAR, AL – (Oct. 13, 2023) Round One results of the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships hosted by Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama, on Oct. 13, 2023.

2022 State Senior Four-Ball Champions Shaw Pritchett + Jeff Taylor of Montgomery lead Round One of the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball Championship, electrifying the field by firing a nine-under 63 to open.
 
One stroke behind, the team of Chris Hummel of Birmingham + Chris Cook of Alabaster carded an eight-under 64.
 
The following teams stand T3, posting a seven-under 65 today:
●      Mark Woods of Homewood + Doug Davis of Birmingham
●      Joey Holley of Troy + Danny Spybey of Spanish Fort
●      Walker Grant of Alexander City + Robert Nelson of Fairhope
●      Wes Lambert of Spanish Fort + Brian Dasinger of Fairhope
●      Doug McLeod of Mobile + Thomas Druhan of Mobile
 
2022 State Super-Senior Four-Ball Tom Davis + Tom Jungkind of Hoover posted a seven-under 65 to lead the 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship.
 
Terry Chapman of Monroeville + Steve Norman of Greenville stand second with a score of six-under 66.
 
The teams of Earl Bidez of Birmingham + Hamp Andrews of Loxley and Bellaire Riley of Birmingham + David Head of Sterrett stand T3, carding a five-under 67 for the day.
 
Round Two of the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships will begin Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at 7:30 a.m. off #1 and #10.
