Volunteers Needed for the Huntsville Championship at The Ledges in April

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – The Huntsville Championship has announced a new partnership with Hightower Twickenham Advisors to support the volunteer program. The event will rely on roughly 500 volunteers to fill a variety of committees for the newest Korn Ferry Tour stop coming to The Ledges, April 20-26, 2020. Volunteers are an integral part of ensuring the tournament runs smoothly and support the tournaments’ charitable mission in giving through The Community Foundation of Huntsville. Volunteering at the Huntsville Championship is a unique opportunity for fans to experience the tournament up close with inside-the-ropes and behind-the-scenes access.

“Here at Hightower Twickenham, we are beyond thrilled to welcome the Korn Ferry Tour to Huntsville,” remarked Wes Clayton of Hightower Twickenham Advisors. “With four generations of advisors in our firm, we are committed to the continuous growth of the community, which is why we are so grateful to support the volunteer program at the Huntsville Championship. We look forward to engaging with everyone during all of the activities at the event."

Registration is open now and requires an $80 registration fee. With the registration fee, volunteers are provided a volunteer package with a golf polo, hat, jacket, weekly tournament credential, complimentary food and beverage in the volunteer headquarters and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party. Volunteers who register and complete two or more shifts during the tournament are also gifted a complimentary round of golf at The Ledges. Volunteers do not have to have prior knowledge of golf or volunteer experience.

“The Huntsville Championship has already received an incredible welcome and support from the Huntsville Community. We are enthusiastic this support will transition into dedicated volunteers who want to make the tournament experience unique and memorable,” said Penn Garvich, Tournament Director of the Huntsville Championship. “We invite volunteers from far and wide to help us pull off what we see as a can’t miss event. We encourage everyone to be a part of history and join us as we execute a first-class tournament and drive this tournament’s charitable impact on the local community.”

A variety of volunteer committees are available for volunteers of all ages, experience and interests. Each role plays an integral part in the tournament experience for the players, fans, sponsors and supporters.
