GADSDEN, AL (May 22, 2022) – Final Round results of the 25th Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship and 4th Alabama State Super-Senior Amateur Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by The Gadsden Country Club in Gadsden, AL on Sunday, May 22, 2022 (6274 yards (Senior); 5802 yards (Super-Senior), Course/Slope Rating: 70.2/130 (Senior); 68.0/125 (Super-Senior).

Robert Nelson of Fairhope fired eight birdies during the Final Round to claim victory at the 25th Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship. He secured his Champion title by posting four-under 67 for the Final Round. Nelson finished five-under 208 for the Championship. 
 
Kevin Daugherty of Anniston and Shaw Pritchett of Montgomery each posted four-under 209 for the Championship to stand T2. Daugherty carded four-under 67 for the Final Round. Pritchett posted even-par for the Final Round. After a scorecard playoff, Daugherty stood second and Pritchett stood third.
 
David Head of Sterrett claimed his first-ever state title at the 4th Alabama State Super-Senior Amateur Championship. Head carded one-under 70 for the Final Round and five-under 208 total.
 
Richard Jeffers of Mobile finished second. He concluded the Final Round carding one-under 70 and one-over 214 overall. 
 
Robert Pewitt of Hoover posted three-under 68 for the Final Round. Overall, he posted two-over 215 to finish third.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama.
