Round Two of the 2022 Alabama Women’s Stroke Play and State Senior Amateur Championships Gets Underway

MONTGOMERY, AL (June 22, 2022) - Round Two results of the 32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Championship and  49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship and Final Round results of the 4th Alabama Women’s State Super-Senior Amateur Championship hosted by Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, AL on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Amateur Championship
 
Michaela Morard of Huntsville fired an even-par 72 for the day to lead Round Two of the 32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Amateur Championship. Morard stands seven strokes ahead of her competition, posting a two-under 142 overall.
 
Emilia Smith of Enterprise carded a three-over 75 for the day to stand second. Smith carded a five-over 149 overall.
 
Ashley-Sinclair Curtis of Enterprise posted a two-over 74 for the day to stand third, carding an eight-over 152 overall. 

The Final Round of the 32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Amateur Championship begins tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
 
49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship
 
Patricia Ehrhart of Birmingham shot one-under 71 for the day to maintain her lead through Round Two of the 49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship. Ehrhart posted a two-under 142 overall.
 
Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham stands second, carding a two-over 74 for the day. Hartwiger posted a three-over 147 overall. Susan West of Tuscaloosa posted a six-over 78 for the round to stand third, carding an 11-over 83 overall. 
 
Lori Holibaugh of Foley posted an even-par 72 to lead the Tournament Division, carding a seven-over 151 overall.

The Final Round of the 49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship begins tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
 
4th Alabama Women’s State Super-Senior Amateur Championship
 
Ann Lanier of Fairhope fired a three-over 75 for the day to earn the 4th Alabama Women’s State Super-Senior Amateur Champion title. Lanier posted a nine-over 153 overall to secure the Championship title.
 
Chris Spivey of Pell City posted a nine-over 81 to stand second on the leaderboard. Spivey carded a 22-over 166 overall. Standing third, Debbie Atchley carded a 13-over 85 for the round and a 25-over 169 overall.
 
These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
 
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)

AGA membership consists of over 115 member clubs represented by over 23,000 individuals.
