Champions Crowned at the 5th Alabama State Parent-Child Championship

BIRMINGHAM, AL (June 27, 2022) – Final results of the 5th Alabama State Parent-Child Championship hosted by the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail – Ross Bridge in Birmingham on Monday, June 27, 2022.

The 5th Alabama State Parent-Child Championship was conducted today at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge in Birmingham. A total of 48 teams from across the state competed in two divisions and four flights in over 18 holes of modified alternate shot where both team members played from their designated tee, selected a ball and played alternate shot until the ball was holed.
 
Chris Lemley and Braxton Lemley of Decatur earned the Father-Son Overall Championship title. They carded an eight-under 64, making eight birdies for the round.
 
Keith Pope and Hannah Pope of Florence posted two-under 70 to win the Mixed Team Championship title.
 
Andrew Pratt and Cooper Pratt of Auburn carded an eight-under 64 to earn the Open Division Championship title.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 115 member clubs represented by over 23,000 individuals.
