2023 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship Qualifying Results from Lakewood Golf Club

Emile Vaughan earns medalist honors at U.S. Senior Amateur Championship Qualifying

POINT CLEAR, AL (July 28, 2023) – Final results from U.S. Senior Amateur Championship Qualifying hosted by Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, AL on Friday, July 28, 2023 (6481 yards, par 72, Course/Slope Rating: 71.2/130).

Emile Vaughan of Pike Road punched his ticket to compete at the 2023 U.S. Senior Amateur hosted by Martis Camp in Truckee, California. Vaughan finished the day three-under par, 69. After a th hole playoff, he earned medalist honors over 26 other competitors.
Two alternates spots were also awarded at the U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying site:
●      Robert Nelson of Fairhope finished 3-under par, 69
●      Claud Cooper of Birmingham finished 2-under par, 70

This USGA National Championship Qualifier is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 120 member clubs represented by over 27,000 individuals. Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
