Hanna & Hammond, Mize & Mize Victorious at 5th Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship

ALEXANDER CITY, AL (Aug. 27, 2023) – Final Round results of the 5th Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship hosted by Willow Point Golf & Country Club in Alexander City, Alabama on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 (Mid-Amateur Division: 7199 yards; Senior Division: 6697 yards; Par 36-36—72).

Mid-Amateur Division:
 
Will Hanna of Peachtree Corners, Georgia and Kyle Hammond of Johns Creek, Ga. were victorious, claiming the 5th Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship title.
 
Hanna and Hammond won the championship title after a three-hole playoff against Payton Osborn of Birmingham, Ala. and Chris Devlin of Birmingham, Ala. On the third playoff hole, the team of Hanna and Hammond won with a par.
 
Hanna and Hammond posted nine-under 63 for the day. Altogether, they went 24-under 192 for the tournament.
 
Osborn and Devlin finished second. They carded a 10-under 62 for the day and 192 for the tournament.
 
Josh Fickes of Beaufort, South Carolina and Brandon Grzywacz of Pinebluff, North Carolina finished third, posting a 12-under 60 to close. They fired a 21-under 195 for the tournament.
 
Senior Division
 
Carter Mize of Columbus, Ga. and Mat Mize of Columbus, Ga. claimed the Senior Division title. They fired five-under 67 to close. Altogether, they went 17-under 199 for the tournament.
 
Two teams finished second. James Davenport of Marietta, Ga. and Chad Branton of Cartersville, Ga. carded a six-under 66 for the day and 16-under 200 overall. David Hancock of Greenville, Ala. and Collin McCrary of Troy, Ala. teamed up to shoot five-under 67 today. They also went 16-under 200 for the tournament.
