MONTGOMERY, AL (May 12, 2022) – Final results from U.S. Senior Open Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Wynlakes Golf and Country Club in Montgomery, AL on Thursday, May 12, 2022 (6784 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 73.1/126).

Two qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site. 78 players competed to punch their ticket to the 42nd U.S. Senior Open Championship.
 
Andrew Johnson of Maitland, FL fired a seven-under 65 to earn medalist honors.
Jack Hall of Savannah, GA carded five-under 67 to secure the final qualifying spot.
Steve Dana of Pensacola, FL posted three-under 69 to claim the first alternate spot and Bryan Askew of Decatur, AL secured the second alternate position, posting a two-under 70.
 
The two qualifiers will advance to the 42nd U.S. Senior Open hosted by Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA, on June 23-26, 2022.

This USGA National Championship Qualifier is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
