BIRMINGHAM, AL (May 23, 2022) – Final results of the Alabama State Amateur Championship - Birmingham Qualifying hosted by Riverchase Country Club on Monday, May 23, 2022 (6515 yards, par 36-36–72, Course/Slope Rating: 71.9/139).

28 qualifying spots, including ties, were available at this qualifying site. Morning rain delays postponed play to begin at 10:00 a.m.
 
Richard Douglas of Birmingham and Jackson Bowman of Gadsden each fired three-under 69 to stand T1 and share medalist honors. 
 
Jonathan Bolen of Pelham and Joshua Peters of Homewood carded two-under 70 to each stand T3.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 117 member clubs represented by over 23,000 individuals. Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
