Noah Dennis Takes the Lead in Round Three of the 106th Alabama Men’s State Amateur Championship

BESSEMER, AL (June 10, 2022) - Round Three results of the 106th Alabama State Amateur Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by Bent Brook Golf Course in Bessemer, AL, on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Noah Dennis of Trussville emerged as the leader of Round Three, finishing the day five-under 66 and soaring atop the leaderboard. He holds a one-stroke lead, posting a total of 10-under 203.
 
“I wasn’t really hitting it good going into the week,” said Dennis. “But golf is golf, and anything can happen.”
 
Four players stand T2 at nine-under 204 for the Championship:
  • Connor Newton of Auburn, three-under 68 (Round Three)
  • Max Johnson of Lillian, three-under 68 (Round Three)
  • Trey Rouse of Homewood, even-par 71 (Round Three)
  • Brantley Scott of Dothan, two-under 69 (Round Three)
Five players stand T6 at seven-under 206 for the Championship:
  • Ryan Eshleman of Vestavia Hills, six-under 65 (Round Three)
  • Ethan Hagood of Hoover, four-under 67 (Round Three)
  • Ken Goforth of Birmingham, three-under 68 (Round Three)
  • Ford Clegg of Birmingham, two-under 69 (Round Three)
  • Jack Goldasich of Birmingham, even-par 71 (Round Three)
Ethan Hagood shot a hole-in-one on #14. 
 
The Final Round of the 106th Alabama State Amateur Championship begins Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 7:30 a.m. off holes #1 and #10.
