Round One Results of 2022 Alabama Women’s Stroke Play and State Senior Amateur Championships

MONTGOMERY, AL (June 21, 2022) - First round results of the 32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Championship, 49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship and the tournament 4th Alabama Women’s State Super-Senior Amateur Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, AL on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Michaela Morard of Huntsville fired a two-under 70 to lead Round One at the 32nd Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Championship.
 
Emilia Smith of Enterprise carded a two-over 74 to stand second. Smith holds a one stroke lead.
 
Standing T3 are Karlee Allen of Tuscaloosa and Lauren Gilchrist of Spanish Fort. Allen and Gilchrist each posted a three-over 75.
 
Patricia Ehrhart of Birmingham shot one-under 71 to lead the 49th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship.
 
Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham stands second, carding a one-over 73 for the day. Susan West of Tuscaloosa posted a five-over 77 to stand third. 
 
Tami Green of Fairhope and Lori Holibaugh of Foley each posted seven-over 79 to lead the Tournament Division.
 
Barbee Bryant of Hoover claimed third on the leaderboard, posting a ten-over 82. 
 
Ann Lanier of Fairhope opened Round One with six-over 78 to lead the 4th Alabama Women’s State Super-Senior Amateur Championship.
 
Debbie Atchley of Pelham posted a 12-over 84 to hold second place on the leaderboard.
 
These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
 
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 115 member clubs represented by over 23,000 individuals. Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
