Jordan Koller, Alabama Golf Association's Manager of Junior Golf and Tournaments

HOOVER, AL (March 7, 2023) – The Alabama Golf Association (AGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jordan Koller as the Manager of Junior Golf and Tournaments. Koller, a Brookeville, Maryland native, will support junior golf efforts of the AGA and Junior Golf Alabama. She will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Junior Golf Department, manage relationships between the AGA and allied junior golf organizations, assist with administering Junior Golf Alabama events, AGA championships, USGA qualifiers, and develop future one-day tournament and Interclub programs.

“I’m most excited to help provide a fun environment for juniors to compete in. While I loved competition, my favorite part about my experience as a young golfer was the friendships I made on the golf course that I have to this day,” said Koller.

Koller gained sports championship operations experience by recently working at the NCAA as a Postgraduate Intern where she supported multiple Championships. She also gained golf operations experience with the Middle Atlantic PGA Section as a junior golf intern in 2020 and later worked at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, Md. as a golf intern in 2021. Koller completed her degree through a work experience internship at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md. during spring of 2022.

“As a former junior and collegiate golfer, I have about a decade of competitive golf experience,” said Koller. “I had the privilege of working with the Middle Atlantic PGA Section a couple years ago with their junior golf tour where I found my passion of running tournaments and creating a fun and positive atmosphere for all of the participants.”

In May 2022, Koller graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a degree in Sports Management and minors in both Athletic Coaching and Applied Youth Development. She also played on the York College of Pennsylvania’s women’s golf team where her freshman class was the number one freshman class in the country in 2019 for Division III women’s golf. In her four years, York College won three conference championships, 22 tournaments, and competed in two national championships. Individually, Koller was named an All-American Scholar four times and claimed four individual titles.

“Jordan’s experience in golf as a collegiate player, administration internships, and scholastically in coaching and youth development brings us the desired skills to further elevate our junior golf program while exploring additional playing opportunities for our membership,” stated Andy Priest, AGA Executive Director. “Under Jeremy Gardner’s leadership of our junior programs over the past seven years, we have seen explosive growth and are excited for us to take the next step with Jordan joining our team.”

Koller began her position with the AGA on March 7, 2023.
