2024 U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying Results from RTJ Silver Lakes

GLENCOE, AL (May 10, 2024) – Final results from U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying hosted by RTJ at Silver Lakes in Glencoe, AL on Thursday, May 9, 2024 (7226 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 75.2/139).

Five qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.   
  
Steven Dilisio of Swampscott, Massachusetts posted a five-under 67 to earn medalist honors.  
 
Scott Stevens of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Josh Hill of England each posted four-under par 68 to take the second and third qualifying spots and Hunter Eichhorn of Carney, MI. and Ward Harris of Vestavia, Ala. took the fourth and fifth qualifying spots at three-under par 69.
  
After a three-for-two playoff at 69, Ford Clegg of Mountain Brook, Ala. (1st Alternate) and Gary Glassman of  Madison, Ala. (2 nd Alternate) secured the two alternate spots.  
 
The five qualifiers will advance to Final Qualifying that will be played at 13 sites located throughout the U.S. and internationally.

In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors.
