This year marks the 32nd playing of the Alabama State Senior Four-Ball Championship. Jeff Taylor and Shaw Pritchett captured the team title in 2025 at Steelwood Country Club. The Championship was first played in 1995 with Tom O’Melia and John Pryor winning the inaugural event at Cotton Creek Club. Mike Greer and Tom Jungkind hold the record with four victories (2010-11, 2013, 2016).
This year marks the 8th playing of the Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship. Dana Amberson and Harry Kirkland captured the team title in 2025 at Steelwood Country Club. The Championship was first played in 2019 with Tom Jungkind and John Coles winning the inaugural event at Huntsville Country Club. Dana Amberson and Harry Kirkland hold the record with 3 victories (2023-25).

Entries are open to sides of male amateur golfers who are legal residents of Alabama and have an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index® at an AGA member club. Maximum allowable combined team handicap is 14.9 under the USGA Handicap System™. Two players who play as partners comprise a side. Partners are not required to be from the same club. Both members of the side must have reached their 50th birthday by October 9, 2025.
Championship Division Yardage: 6462 yards (36-36-72)
Course & Slope Rating: 71.6/136
Format:
- 54 holes of gross four-ball stroke play.
- The field will be cut to the low TBD sides and ties after 36 holes.
- The lowest score for 54 holes will be the Champion.
- In the event of a tie for first place in the Championship, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held immediately following play. The play-off holes and their order of play will be determined by the Committee.
- Initial groupings will be for the first two rounds; the field will be cut and re-paired by score after the second round.
8th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship

Format: This Championship is conducted at
- 54 holes of gross four-ball stroke play.
- The field will be cut to the low TBD sides and ties after 36 holes.

Field cut to the low TBD sides and ties for final round.
Field re-grouped according to score.
Saturday, October 10
Round 3: Tee times at 8:00am off #1 & #10 tees.
Awards ceremony immediately following play at scoreboard.
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 125 member clubs represented by over 34,000 individuals. The activities and services of the Alabama Golf Association are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of Alabama golfers who wish to serve the game and the association through service. In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).
