Hunter Hawkins of Fort Payne posted an overall total of 11-under 205 to claim the Alabama State Mid-Amateur Champion title for the second consecutive time (67, 65, 73).
“It’s cool to have your name on the trophy twice,” said Hawkins. “Maybe we can go for the three-peat next year.”
Hunter Hamrick of Pike Road (68,72,69) finished the tournament in solo second with an overall score of 209.
James Holt of Coker (71, 71, 68) finished the tournament with an overall score of six-under 210 to claim third.
The top ten finishers plus ties will receive an exemption into the 2027 Alabama State Amateur Championship, hosted by The Country Club of Birmingham. In addition to Hawkins, Hamrick, Holt and King, the following players will receive an exemption:

Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).
