SJ Thomas of Birmingham continues to lead the way into the Final Round posting a Third Round score of three-under 68. Thomas is currently two-shots ahead of the competition at 10-under 203 overall.
Ryley Heath of Decatur fired the lowest Third Round score of eight-under 65 to climb to the solo second position going into the Final Round tomorrow. Overall, he is eight-under 205 for the tournament.
Sitting in the solo third place position is Jackson Skinner of Birmingham. Skinner carded four-under 67 today to make him seven-under 206 overall.
Hunter Hawkins of Fort Payne sits in fourth and Ben Shedd of Cullman sits in fifth.
The Final Round of the 110th Alabama State Amateur Championship will begin tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 125 member clubs represented by over 33,500 individuals. In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).
Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
