Round Two Results of the 44th Alabama State Four-Ball Championship

ATHENS, AL – (April 30, 2026) –  Round two results of the 44th Alabama State Four-Ball Championship held at the Canebrake Club in Athens, AL on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Hayden Smith + Will Abernathy of Athens and Blaise Wilson of Tuscumbia + Chasen Bullington of Cullman both shot a 12-under 132 total to sit atop the leaderboard following Round Two of the 44th Alabama State Four-Ball Championship. Abernathy + Smith fired a three-under 69 for the day with five total birdies, while Wilson + Bullington shot a six-under 66 on the day with six birdies. Abernathy + Smith will advance to match play as the 1st seed and will face No. 16 seed Braxton Gillespie + Eric Howle.

The following matches are set for the Round of 16:

  • ( 5) Blaise Wilson + Chasen Bullington vs (12) Andy McRae + Victor Kyatt
  • ( 6) Adam Mullins + Wes Coleman vs (11) Michael Noe + Trent Alexander
  • ( 7) Grayden Robinson + Jacob Lee vs (10) Frankie Wade + Harrison Martin
  • ( 8) Will Swift + Woodie Eubanks vs (9) Jackson Mitchell + Michael Crocker

The cut to match play includes 16 teams (no ties) advancing to the Round of 16. The cut line fell at six-under 138. General numerical draw will be used for seeding. For purposes of determining places in the draw, ties in qualifying rounds will be decided by lot. 


The Round of 16 will begin at 7:30 a.m. off #1. Quarterfinals will follow the Round of 16 in the afternoon.

This Championship is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)

In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
