Round Two Results of the 29th Alabama State Senior and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships

POINT CLEAR, AL – (Oct. 14, 2023) Round Two results of the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships hosted by Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama, on Oct. 14, 2023.

The teams of Shaw Pritchett + Jeff Taylor of Montgomery and Danny Spybey of Spanish Fort + Joey Holley of Troy each stand T1 within the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball Championship. Both teams are 13-under 131 for the Championship. Pritchett + Taylor carded a four-under 68 today; Spybey + Holley posted a seven-under 65.
 
Two strokes behind, the team of Robbie Cotten + Rucker Brown of Brewton of Birmingham shot a six-under 66 for the day to stand third. Cotten + Brown stand 11-under 133 overall.
 
The cut line fell at four-under 140, with 20 sides advancing to the Final Round of play.
 
The team of Earl Bidez of Birmingham + Hamp Andrews of Loxley soared to the top of the Super-Senior Championship leaderboard to lead Round Two, posting a seven-under 65 for the day and 12-under 132 total.

One stroke behind, the teams of Steve Norman of Greenville + Terry Chapman of Monroeville and Emile Vaughan of Pike Road + Richard Jeffers of Mobile each stand T2, carding an 11-under 133 overall.
 
The cut line fell at one-under 143, with 11 sides advancing to the Final Round of play.
 
The Final Round of the 29th Alabama State Senior Four-Ball and 5th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships will begin Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. off #1 and #10.
