Round Two Results of the 31st Alabama State Senior Four-Ball & 7th State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships

31st State Senior Four-Ball Championship R2 Leaders: Chris Hummel of Birmingham + Sam Mango of Birmingham
LOXLEY, AL (October 10, 2025) – Round Two results from the 31st Alabama State Senior Four-Ball and 7th State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championships hosted at Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, AL, October 9-11, 2025.

The side of Chris Hummel of Birmingham + Sam Mango of Birmingham posted a Second Round six-under 66 to grab the 31st State Senior Four-Ball Championship lead heading into the final round tomorrow. Together the duo fired eight birdies today to finish with a 36-hole total of 12-under 132 (66, 66).

Claud Cooper of Birmingham + McGowin Miller of Birmingham sit one-shot back from the leaders to hold the solo second place position at 11-under 133 (67, 66). 

The following sides sit T3, each with 36-hole totals of 134 (-10): 
  • Andy Stewart of Selma + Paul Garner of Selma
  • Chris Lemley of Decatur + Tracy Lentz of Decatur
The cut line fell at two-under 142, with 18 sides advancing to the Final Round tomorrow.

Round One leaders, David Head of Sterrett + Randy Smith of Childersburg continue to lead the 7th Alabama State Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship finishing the day with an overall score of 10-under 134 (65, 69).

The side of Fred Clark of Mobile + Wayne Gardner of Mobile climbed to the solo second position today with a Second Round six-under 66. The duo sits three-shots behind the leaders at seven-under 137 overall.

The following sides sit T3, each with 36-hole totals of 138 (-6): 
  • Clark Alexander of Prattville + Tony Parrish of Prattville
  • Dana Amberson of Hartselle + Harry Kirkland of Decatur
  • Ken Wright of Madison + William Moquin of Huntsville
The cut line fell at three-under 141, with 13 sides advancing to the Final Round tomorrow. 

The third and final round will begin tomorrow morning, Saturday, October 11th at 8:00 a.m. off of #1 & #10 tees.

These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors.
