GLENCOE, AL – Sectional qualifying results of the 100th Alabama Amateur Championship hosted by RTJ at Silver Lakes in Glencoe, AL on Thursday, May 19, 2016 (6733 yards, Par 36-36—74, 71.4/137).
Six qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this site.
Blake Watts of Fort Payne and Parker Kinzer of Trussville each carded at two-over par 74 to share medalist honors.
The cut line fell at four-over par 76. A score card playoff was held at 77 to determine the alternate positions. Jake Tiffin of Hartselle is the first alternate and Gene Yu of Vestavia Hills is the second alternate.
Qualifiers advanced to the 100th Alabama Amateur Championship that will be played June 9-12 at the Country Club of Birmingham (West) in Mountain Brook, AL.
