MONTGOMERY, AL (June 21, 2017) – Rain from Tropical Storm Cindy soaked Montgomery Country Club throughout the day on Wednesday causing unplayable course conditions. Play was suspended at 9:30am and after waiting almost six hours for a possible break in the weather, play was called for the day at 3:20pm. Entire field of 47 competitors will return to resume round one on Thursday at 7:30am. Practice facilities open at 6:30am. AGA will post any additional schedule changes or delays to www.alabamagolf.org and all social media channels (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram). This championship is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 130 member clubs represented by nearly 18,500 individuals. The activities and services of the Alabama Golf Association are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of Alabama golfers who wish to serve the game and the association through service.
