SCOTTSBORO, AL (June 24, 2021) – Final round results of the 31st Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Championship and 48th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, AL on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Ally Williams of Brownsboro secured victory by shooting three-under 69 in the final round of the 31st Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Championship. Williams posted six-under 210 for the tournament.

“It feels really great to be named Champion,” Williams said. “I hit it really well today. I made a lot of putts, got up and down when I needed to and hit it solid overall.”

Molly Brown Davidson of Birmingham finished second, carding one-under 71. Overall, she posted four-under 212.

Winning a scorecard playoff against Morgan Jones of Auburn, Michaela Morard of Huntsville shot one-under 71. Altogether, she finished four-over 220.

Isabel Rogers of Anniston was nine-over-par 81 today and 40-over 256 to claim first within the Tournament Division.

Donna Lowen of Huntsville claimed victory at the 48th Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur Championship. Her low round of four-under 68 afforded an even-par 216 to finish.

“I’m still in shock,” Lowen said. “It was a bogey-free round, four birdies and the rest were pars. I was really proud of how I played, I loved the course and I had a great group of ladies to play with.”

Defending Champion, Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham carded five-over 77 and eight-over 224 to finish second.

In third, Susan West of Tuscaloosa shot three-over 75 for the day and an overall 11-over 227.

Olivia Iturbe of Mobile secured first within the Tournament Division, posting six-over 78 and 17-over 233.

Sarah Vandervoort of Montgomery claimed second with a final four-over 76. Altogether, she posted 18-over 234.

Dina Murray finished third, shooting seven-over 79 and 30-over 246 for the tournament.

This Championship is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
