2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifying Medalist: Trace Bracknell 

BIRMINGHAM, AL (June 30, 2021) – Final results of the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship – Birmingham Qualifier, hosted by The Country Club of Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 (6874 yards, par 35-36—71, Course/Slope Rating: 72.9/134).

Forty-nine players competed for three qualifying spots and two alternate positions.

Trace Bracknell of Tuscaloosa, AL posted two-under 69 to earn medalist honors. He claimed the first qualifying spot.

Hogan Ingram of Rome, GA secured the second qualifying spot, posting one-under 70.

The third qualifying spot was taken by Hayden Carner of Hoover, AL, after defeating Evans Gross of Mountain Brook, AL in a two-hole playoff. He carded two-over 73 to advance.

Gross stands 1st Alternate, shooting two-over 73 for the day. Manuel Barbachano of Mexico claimed 2nd Alternate, carding three-over 74.

Players who qualified will be advancing to the 73rd U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, hosted by The Country Club of North Carolina (Dogwood and Cardinal Courses), in Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina, July 19-24, 2021.

The 73rd U.S. Junior Amateur Championship - Birmingham Qualifier is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
