ALEXANDER CITY, AL (July 26, 2021) – Final results of the 2021 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying hosted by Willow Point Golf & Country Club in Alexander City, AL, on Monday, July 26, 2021 (6546 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 70.7/117).

Two qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available. There were 51 players who competed to punch their ticket to the 66th U.S. Senior Amateur.

Robert Nelson of Fairhope, AL fired five-under 67 to earn medalist honors and the first qualifying spot.

Chris Hall of Marietta, GA secured the second qualifying spot after winning his second playoff hole. He posted two-under-par 70 for the day.

John Fisher of Opelika, AL posted two-under 70 secure the 1st Alternate position.

David Hancock of Greenville, AL secured the 2nd Alternate seat, carding two-under 70.

The cut line fell at two-under 70 with two players advancing to the 2021 U.S. Senior Amateur at Country Club of Detroit, in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, on Aug. 28 – Sept. 2, 2021.

The 2021 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
