Results of the 2022 U.S. Girls Junior Sectional Qualifying

MONTGOMERY, AL (June 9, 2022) – Final results of the 2022 U.S. Girls Junior Sectional Qualifying hosted by Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, AL, on Thursday, June 9, 2022 (5946 yards, par 35-35—70, Course/Slope Rating: 74.9/137).

Three qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available.
 
There were 30 players who competed to advance to the 73rd U.S. Girls Junior Championship. 
 
Molly Brown Davidson of Birmingham posted one-under 69 to secure medalist honors and the first qualifying spot. 
 
Karoline Tuttle of Lake Mary, FL carded one-over 71 to earn the second qualifying spot.
 
Christine Chang of Auburn, AL claimed the third qualifying spot, posting a two-over 72.
 
After a two-hole playoff, Esha Gupta of Auburn, AL secured the 1st Alternate spot, carding two-over 72. 
 
Chloe Ruble of Athens, AL claimed the 2nd Alternate spot, posting a two-over 72. 
 
The cut line fell at two-over 72 with three players advancing to the 2022 U.S. Girls Junior Championship at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, KY., on July 18-23, 2022.

The 2022 U.S. Girls Junior Sectional Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.
 
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)  
 
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 115 member clubs represented by over 23,000 individuals. Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
