MONTGOMERY, AL (June 24, 2022) – Final results of the 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Sectional Qualifying hosted by Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama, on Friday, June 24, 2022 (5625 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 68.5/116).

Two qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available.
Four players competed to advance to the 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. 
Ellen Weaver of Alpharetta, Georgia posted a three-over 75 to secure medalist honors and the first qualifying position.
Theresa Mahlik of Madison, Alabama carded a five-over 77 to earn the second qualifying position.
Leslie Elkins of Roswell, Georgia secured the 1st Alternate position, carding 10-over 82. Ann Lanier of Fairhope, Alabama carded a 15-over 87 to secure the 2nd alternate position.
The cut line fell at five-over 77 with two players advancing to the 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Anchorage Golf Course in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 30-August 4, 2022.

The 2022 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Sectional Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
