Six teams competed today for the 15th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship title, and 18 teams competed for the 4th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship title. Each team member played her own ball; the best individual score was recorded at each hole as the team score.
Play was suspended at 12:03 p.m. due to inclement weather. Play resumed at 3:00 p.m. and continued until play was finished.
Katelyn Foster of Mobile and Tori Waters of Mobile finished the day with a three-under 69 to lead Round One of the 15th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship.
The team of Hannah Pope of Florence and Tori Rouch of Fairhope stands two strokes behind, carding a one-under 71 for the round.
Taylor Trible of Birmingham and Yvette Gorden of Pike Road stand third. The tea carded a one-over 71 for the day.
Defending Champions Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham and Lea Green of McCalla emerged round leaders of the 4th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship, posting a five-under 67 to lead their competition into the Final Round.
Chris Spivey of Pell City and Harriet Cauthen of Orange Beach stand second alongside Leah Head of Birmingham and Theresa Stratton of Opelika, carding an even-par 71 for the day.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama.
