Champions Crowned at the 15th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball and 4th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championships

MOBILE, AL – (July 21, 2022) Final Round results of the 15th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship and 4th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by RTJ Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove in Mobile, AL on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Taylor Trible of Birmingham and Yvette Gorden of Pike Road claimed the 15th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship title, carding a three-under 69 for the day and a 142 (-2) for the tournament. The team made three back-to-back birdies on #2, #3, and #4.
 
Hannah Pope of Florence and Tori Roush of Fairhope finished with an even-par 72 for the Final Round and a 143 (-1) for the tournament to finish second. 
 
Katelyn Foster of Mobile and Tori Waters of Mobile posted a 144 (E) overall to secure third place. The team finished with a three-over 75 for the Final Round.
 
Defending 2021 Champions Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham and Lea Green of McCalla led wire-to-wire firing a five-under 67 for the day and a 134 (-10) overall to claim the 4th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship title. The team finished ten strokes ahead of their competition.
 
Leah Head of Birmingham and Theresa Stratton of Opelika finished with an even-par 72 for the Final Round and a 144 (E) for the tournament to finish second. 
 
Chris Spivey of Pell City and Harriet Cauthen of Orange Beach posted a 147 (+3) for the tournament to claim third.
 
Ann Lanier of Fairhope and Tami Green of Fairhope carded a 146 (+2) to earn medalist honors within Senior Flight 1.
 
Dawn Byrne of Mobile and Loraine Ficarino of Mobile defeated Laurie Strite of Foley and Lisa Graham of Orange Beach in a scorecard playoff to place first within Senior Flight 2. Byrne and Ficarino carded a 161 (+17) for the Championship. 
 
Cynthia McDermond of Gulf Shores and Gigi Roberts of Gulf Shores placed first within Senior Flight 3, carding a 169 (+25) for the Championship.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
