2023 U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying Results from RTJ Silver Lakes

GADSDEN, AL (May 5, 2023) – Final results from U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying hosted by RTJ at Silver Lakes in Gadsden, AL on Thursday, May 4, 2023 (7226 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 75.2/139).

Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.   
  
Michael Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama and Scott Stevens of Chattanooga, Tennessee each posted a five-under 65 to earn co-medalist honors.  
 
Reed Lotter of Savannah, Georgia (68) and Sam Love of Trussville, Ala. (69) took the third and fourth qualifying spots.  
  
After a four-for-two playoff at 70, Ryan Elmore of Dunwoody, Ga. (1st Alternate) and Hunter Eichhorn of Carney, Michigan (2nd Alternate) secured the two alternate spots.  
 
The four qualifiers will advance to Final Qualifying that will be played at 13 sites located throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
