ATHENS, AL (May 24, 2023) – Final results of the Alabama State Amateur Championship - Athens Qualifying hosted by Canebrake Club on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 (6724 yards, par 72, Course/Slope Rating: 72.5/138).

61 players vied for 13 qualifying spots and ties at this qualifying site. Play began promptly at 8:00 a.m.
 
Gavin Isbell of Trussville finished three-under 69 and received medalist honors.
 
Luke Davis of Athens and Colton Boyce of Huntsville carded two-under 70 to each stand T2.

The 2023 Alabama State Amateur Championship – Athens Qualifier is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association. 
 
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 26,000 individuals. Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
