Scarlett Schremmer Leads Round Two of the 60th Alabama Girls State Junior Championship

SCOTTSBORO, AL (June 6, 2023) – Second round results of the 60th Alabama Girls State Junior Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by Goose Pond Colony Resort (Lake Course) in Scottsboro, AL on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. 
 
 
 
Scarlett Schremmer of Birmingham leads Round Two of the 60th Alabama Girls State Championship at six-under, firing even-par 72 today. She holds a two-stroke lead to remain atop the leaderboard.   
 
“I struggled a little bit around the greens and off the tee at times, but I feel like I fought back pretty good, and I think tomorrow I’m excited to get some shots back that I left out there today,” Schremmer said.  
 
Yvette Gorden of Pike Road stands two strokes behind Schremmer with an 18-hole total of four-under 140, carding three-under 69 today. Gorden posted a total of four birdies for the round.    
 
Frances Brown of Mobile stands third, carding one-under 71 for Round Two. Gabriella Nicastro of Huntsville stands fourth after shooting two-under 70 today.

The final round of the 60th Alabama Girls State Junior Championship begins Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 7:30 a.m.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
