Results of the 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Sectional Qualifying

SCOTTSBORO, AL (June 8, 2023) – Final results of the
2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Sectional Qualifying hosted by Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, AL, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 ( 5849 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 73.1/121 ) .

Two qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available .   
  
28 players competed to advance to the 74th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship .    
  
After a playoff among three players tied at four-under 68, Molly Brown Davidson of Springville won the first playoff hole to earn medalist honors and the first qualifying spot.  
    
Scarlett Schremmer of Birmingham secured the second qualifying spot after firing a birdie on the fourth playoff hole, and Grace Engel of Huntsville earned the 1st Alternate spot.  
   
Carlee Rogers of Hixson, Tennessee claimed the 2nd Alternate spot, posting three-under 69 .    
  
The cut line fell at four-under 68 with two players advancing to the 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship at U.S. Air Force Academy Eisenhower Golf Club i n Colorado Springs, Colorado. on July 17-22, 2023 .

The 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Sectional Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.   
 
About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
