Round One resumed play this morning promptly at 7:00 a.m. Round Two also began promptly at 7:00 a.m. After the completion of Round One, Round Two play was suspended at 10:30 a.m. for three hours. Round Two play resumed at 1:40 p.m. and was suspended again at 2:39 p.m. for the remainder of the day due to severe weather and unplayable course conditions.
Rawlin Sutter of Cullman currently remains at the top of the leaderboard posting one-under for Round Two with two holes to play.
Bailey Sutter of Cullman currently sits one-shot back at eight-under overall and four-under for the day with two holes left to play.
After weighing all factors, the AGA decided to shorten the championship to a 36-hole event. The Round Two morning wave will resume at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. The Round Two morning wave will also begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning off #1 and #10 tees.
The completion of 36-holes (Round Two) tomorrow will determine the 80th Alabama Boys State Junior Champion.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 30,000 individuals. In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).
Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
