Trible + Gorden Crowned Champions of the 18th Women’s State Four-Ball & Green + Jeffery Claim the 7th Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Title

BIRMINGHAM, AL (July 30, 2025) –Final Round results from the 18th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball and 7th Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championships hosted at Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, AL, July 29-30, 2025.

Taylor Trible of Birmingham + Yvette Gorden of Pike Road claimed victory at the 18th Women’s Four-Ball Championship with an overall score of 17-under par 123. The duo finished round two with a score of seven-under par 63 to claim their second Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball title. 

Finishing one stroke back to claim second was the duo of Gabriella Nicastro of Huntsville + Klare Jamison of Huntsville with an overall score of 16-under par 124.

For the 7th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship, Lea Green of McCalla + Linda Jeffery of Prattville claimed their third consecutive Women’s Senior Four-Ball title with a total score of seven-under par 133. The duo finished the second round with a score of one-under par 69. 

Amanda Miller of Albertville + Donna Lowen of Huntsville finished second after carding a total score of four-under par 136.  

For the Women’s State Senior-Four Ball Tournament division, Debbie Atchley of Pelham + Barbee Bryant of Hoover took home gold in the Senior First Flight. Karen Moore of Auburn + Elizabeth Underwood of Auburn took home silver.

Lynn Glover of Trussville + Candy Mitchell of Springville took home gold in the Senior Second Flight. Mary Blankenship of Bessemer + Kim Woods of Trussville took home second.

Dawn Miceli of Foley + Nita Fitzgerald of Gulf Shores took home gold in the Senior Third Flight. Jana Hudson of Baileyton + Amy Lanz of Madison took home second. 

These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 30,000 individuals. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
