Trible + Gorden Crowned Champions of the 19th Women’s State Four-Ball & Grimes + West Claim the 8th Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Title

MUSCLE SHOALS, AL (July 24, 2026) –Final Round results from the 19th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball and 8th Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championships hosted at RTJ Golf Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, AL, July 23-24, 2026.

Taylor Trible of Birmingham and Yvette Gorden of Pike Road claimed victory at the 19th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship with an overall score of 10-under par 134 after a three hole playoff. The duo finished round two with a score of five-under par 67  to claim their second consecutive, third overall, Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball title. 

After the playoff, Klare Jamison and Gabriella Nicastro of Huntsville took silver, ending the tournament at ten-under par 134. Adalyn Pike and Chloe Ruble of Athens claimed bronze, shooting an overall score of seven-under par 137.

For the 8th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship, Virginia Grimes of Auburn and Susan West of Tuscaloosa claimed gold with a total score of 15-under par 129. The duo finished the second round with a score of ten-under par 62. 

After a scorecard playoff, Amanda Miller of Albertville + Donna Lowen of Huntsville finished second after carding a total score of 11-under par 133. Lea Green of McCalla and Linda Jeffery of Prattville claimed third.

For the Women’s State Senior-Four Ball Tournament division, Karen Moore of Auburn + Elizabeth Underwood of Auburn took home gold in the Senior First Flight. Dawn Miceli of Foley + Lori Holibaugh of Foley took home silver.

Deb Stewart of Fairhope + Antonia Fox of Summerdale took home gold in the Senior Second Flight. Gigi Roberts of Gulf Shores + Pam Minella of Gulf Shores took home second.

These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the Board of Directors of the Southern Golf Association.
